Half Ukrainians Live below Poverty Line

Almost 30 percent of Ukrainian people live below poverty line, while unemployment affects 1,800,000 people, said the Government.

Nil Woker, United Nations Representative for Ukraine, referred to the very poor situation of the population in this country, affected by the conflict in the southeastern region.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the growth forecast for economy fell from 2.8 percent to 1.9 percent this year.

Woker said that there are 1,700,000 displaced people in Ukraine and 2,800,000 differently abled, while approximately nine people are waiting for each post taken.
